This 3-credit hour online graduate class is contracted through Charleston Southern University. For the most effective in-depth mastery of STEPS, teachers complete a 45 hour graduate level class and now it's completely online! This interactive multi-media class combines the opportunity for you to learn STEPS at your own pace with ample occasions to see videos of master teachers  helping you learn the multi-sensory teaching techniques vital to success with STEPS. Participants work through all 25 STEPS,  read and analyze current research on explicit phonics, and take part in a learning cadre as they implement STEPS in their classrooms.

Phonogram Lab

Phonogram Lab contains tools that will help you learn the sounds. Video presentations show you models saying the sounds. In STEPS, students are introduced to the Blue Set, the sounds of the alphabet, through handwriting in STEP 4. Then they learn new sounds in STEP 9, 11, and 14. This lab is for practicing those sounds. Access for one full year is only $20!
